LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to be able to:
1.       Define countable and uncountable nouns
2.       Identify uncountable and countable nouns
3.       Identify the use of articles before countable and uncountable nouns
4.       Write simple sentences by using uncountable and countable nouns

LEARNING MATERIALS
a.       Countable and uncountable nouns (chocolate, candy, milk, apple, bread)
b.       Quantifiers (a, an, some, any)
c.       Story of Nobita and Shizuka

Story:
One day, Nobita goes to sizuka’s house. He asks sizuka to go shopping together. Nobita shows the shopping list from his mother. The shopping list consists of some items. Those are some chocolates, some bread and some milk. Then, there is a candy and also an apple. Nobita and Sizhuka go to the market and buy some food and drink provided in the list. First, they buy a candy, and then they put a checklist in the list. Next, they buy some milk, some chocolate and an apple. But, there is not any bread. So, they do not buy it and go back to sizhuka’s house.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES
Pre-Activities (10’)
1.       Teacher greets the students.
2.       Teacher asks students’ conditions.
3.       Teacher checks students’ attendance.
4.       Teacher tells the students about the lesson material.
5.       Teacher asks the students about what do they usually buy in the market?
T : “Do you like shopping in the market?”
S: “Yes, i do”
T: “what do you usually buy?”
Main-Activities (45’)
Activity 1
1.       Teacher tells the students about the story of Nobita and Shizuka by using the puppets.
2.       Teacher explains to the students about the language focus (countable, uncountable noun) through that story.
3.       Teacher shows big shopping list to the students.
4.       Teacher asks the students to check the number of each item.

Activity 2
5.       Teacher divides the students into group of five.
6.       Teacher spreads the shopping list and some pictures for each group.
7.       Teacher gives the instruction of playing the game.
The rules of game:
·         Each group need to search the pictures of food and drink based on the shopping list (5 items)
·         Stick the picture to the appropriate item in the list.
·         The fastest group will be the winner of this game.
8.       Teacher gives the example of playing this game.
9.       Teacher asks the students to start the game.
10.   Teacher checks the answer of each group together.


Activity 3
11.   Teacher spreads the worksheet (consist of multiple choice questions) as the evaluation to the students.
12.   Teacher asks the students to submit their answersheet.
Post Activity (5’)
1.       Teacher summarizes the lesson.
2.       Teacher asks students to repeat what are the language focuses they have learnt (countable, uncountable noun)
3.       Teacher closes the classsession.
