1. Learning Objectives
In the end of the lesson the
students are expected to:
a.
Identify the expression of greetings and by
listening to the story.
b.
Pronounce the expressions appropriately by
repeating what the teacher pronounces.
c.
Respond the questions by using expression “My name is….”.
d.
Use the expression of “Greetings” and “Introduction” appropriately during the survey
activity of introducing each other.

3. Teaching Activities
a.
Pre-activities (about 10’)
1.
The teacher greets the students by saying “Good
morning/good afternoon. How are you today?”
2.
The teacher asks the students’ feelings by using
expression such as “Are you happy today?”
b.
Whilst (about 40’)
3.
The teacher tells the students that they will
have a new friend coming from Australia.
4.
The teacher asks the students whether they want
to meet their new friend or not.
5.
The teacher shows a puppet as their new friend.
6.
The teacher asks the students to greet their new
friend by saying “Say hello to your new friend”.
7.
The teacher asks the students to ask their new
friend’s name appropriately by giving the example first of how to ask people’s
name using the expression “What is your name?”.
8.
The teacher tells the students that their new
friend, Andy wants to know the students’ name.
9.
The teacher points some students to tell his/her
name to Andy.
10.
The teacher tells the students that Andy invites
them to come to his birthday party. The theme of his birthday party is “You Are
Famous”. In Andy’s birthday party the students have to change their identity as
someone famous, for example Justin Bieber.
11.
The teacher tells the students that they are
going to get a paper containing a name for their new identity:

Every student has to pretend that his/her name
is the name written on the paper they have got.
13.
The teacher gives the worksheet to the students.
14.
The teacher tells the instructions for doing the
worksheet. The instructions are as follow:

The students have to introduce themselves to
others and vice versa using the name they have got from the paper.

The students have to write it on the worksheet
given.

The teacher gives the students five minutes to
do the survey.

The students are doing the survey.

Post activities ( about 10’)
16.
The teacher checks the survey of some students
randomly. For example, “Susi, did you
meet someone famous at the party? What is his/her name?”
17.
The teacher asks the students whether they enjoy
the today’s lesson or not.
18.
The teacher reviews the today’s lesson by
listing the learning activities on the board.
19.
The teacher ends the lesson by saying “Thank you
for your attention. I’ll see you next week. Have a nice day.”
4. Teaching Media
1.
Puppet is used to introduce the new friend
coming from Australia, Andy.
2.
Worksheet is distributed to the students for the
survey activity.
3.
A paper is distributed to each student. It
contains their new identity as the famous stars.
