LESSON PLAN (FARAH'S GROUP KELAS B)

a.       Identifying the kinds of public places (bank, market, bookstore, post office, zoo and hospital)
b.      Getting detail information about kinds of public places (bank, market, bookstore, post office, zoo and hospital)

In the end of the lesson students are expected to be able to:
a.         Identify the kinds of public places (bank, market, bookstore, post office,  and hospital)
b.         Get detail information about kinds of public places (bank, market, bookstore, post office,  and hospital)

6.      Teaching activities
a.       Pre-activities (about 5’)
·         Teacher greets and asks student’s condition to build a good start of learning.
e.g. “Good morning students. How was your weekend?”
·         Teacher checks students’ attendance.
·         Teacher shows a picture related to the topic that will be discussed.
e.g. “Do you know what picture is it?”
·         Teacher asks students some questions related to the picture.
e.g. “Have you ever gone to the zoo?”
·         Based on the picture and the questions given, teacher states the topic of the lesson, then mentioning the objective of the lesson.
e.g. “Today we are going to learn about some public places.”

b.      Whilst-activity:
·         Teacher invites the students to play the jumbled game
·         Teacher writes down the jumbled letters in the whiteboard about public places (bank, market, bookstore, post office,  and hospital)
·         Teacher asks the students to guessing first, before giving the clues
·         Teacher asks the students to answer and guessing the jumbled letters with raises their hand and invites students to come forward.
·         Teacher and students pronounce the letters together
·         Teacher asks the students to work in pair
·         Teacher gives students a text about public places
·         Teacher points a student to read aloud the text
·         Teacher asks several question to check students’ understanding.
e.g. “Kiki wakes up at the....? what will he do after that? First, his mom asks him want to go to...?”
·         Teacher points students to answer the questions
·         Teacher highlights the expression of “want to” by writing them on the whiteboard.
·         Teacher and students pronounce the expressions together
·         Teacher gives students flashcards related to public places.


 






·         Teacher asks students to work in pairs to read the flashcard by using “want to”.
e.g.
Students A : where do you go?
Student B   : I want to go to the bank. I want to save my money.
·         Teacher points some students to read the flashcard

c.       Post activity:
·         Teacher reviews the today’s lesson by listing the learning activities on the board.
·         Teacher give task to do at home to describe things.
·         Teacher ends the lesson by saying, “ Thank you for your attention, I’ll see you next week, bye”
