LESSON PLAN (LUSI'S GROUP KELAS B)

1.      Standard Competence
Memahami tulisan bahasa Inggris dan teks deskriptif bergambar sangat sederhana dalam konteks sekolah.

Membaca nyaring dengan ucapan, tekanan, dan intonasi secara tepat dan berterima yang melibatkan: kata, frasa, dan kalimat sangat sederhana.

In the end of the lesson students are expected to be able to:
a.       Identify the key words: arives, clean, sweeps, eats, studies, plays and reads in the story correctly. 
b.      Get the detail information from the text. 

4.      Learning Materials
Story
Faisal is a diligent student. He always arrives to school thirty minutes before the bell ringing. Then, he cleans the class, he sweeps the floor or clean the blackboard. After that, he eats porrige in canteen for his breakfast. When the bell is ringing, he already sits in the class. He always studies hard. During the break times, he plays football with his friends or reads books in the library.

            Pre-Activity (5’)
·           Teacher greets the students, by saying “Good morning students. How do you feel today?”
·           Teacher introduces the vocabularies (clean, sweeps, eats, plays and reads) by using matching game.
·           Teacher gives the instruction:
-          Teacher patches the pictures of the activities (clean, sweeps, eats, plays and reads) on the board.
-          Teacher provides the words of activities (clean, sweeps, eats, plays and reads) in the box.
-          Teacher asks students to match the word of activities given with the pictures on the board based on teacher’s clues.

Whilst (13’)
·           Teacher builds the context by showing ‘her son’s diary’ about his activities at school.
·           Teacher tells her son’s activities at school based on the pictures that already patched on the blackboard.
·           Teacher asks students to work in group of four.
·           Teacher distributes envelopes that contain of jumble sentences of the story that have been told to each group.
·           Teacher asks every group to arrange the jumble sentences into a good paragraph.
·           Teacher discusses students’ work along with the students.
·           Teacher checks students’ understanding by giving some questions related to story given orally.  For example:
-          What does Faisal sometimes do after sweep the floor and clean the board?
·           Teacher gives the students assessment of today’s lesson.

Post-Activity (2’)
·           Teacher reviews the lesson by singing the song that has been given in the pre-activity.
·           Teacher closes the lesson.
