LESSON PLAN (RIZAL'S GROUP KELAS B)



Lesson Plan
Goal: Telling Time.
A.    Context
What time is it?
B.     Objective
Students are expected:
·         to read the clock
·         to tell the time
C.     Language skill: Reading
D.    Activity
Ø  Pre-Activities: (about 5 minutes)
1.      Teacher greets the students
2.      Teacher checks student’s attendance   
3.      Teacher introduces the topic about “Time” by asking what time is it.
4.      Teacher draws a clock on the board and asks the students to tell time.
5.      Teacher draws the time based on what the students said.

Ø  Main Activities: (about 30 minutes)
1.      The teacher draws some clocks which show the different time on the board.
2.      The teacher asks the students to follow what teacher say about the time while explaining to the students about o’clock, half pas, half to, quarter past, and quarter to.
3.      The teacher asks the students to tell the time based on the pictures of clock on the board.
4.      The teacher asks one of the students randomly to match between the picture of the clock and the time. For example, the clock shows 8.30 and on the board it has been written many choices such as 5.30, 2.30, 8.30 etc.
5.      That students then have to match it, if the answer is correct then s/he can choose one of his/her friends to come forward and do the activity just like what s/he did before. But if the answer is incorrect, that student should choose one of his/her friends to help him/her to do the activity. This activity will be repeated as much as it is necessary.
6.      After checking their understanding about the time, the teacher distributes the worksheet.
7.      The teacher explains how to fill the worksheet. In the worksheet, there are some multiple choices about the time. The students have to choose one correct answer of the clock provided in the worksheet.
8.      The teacher asks the students to do their task in the distributed worksheet and then submit it if they are already done.       
9.      The teacher asks to the students to start the activity.

Ø  Post activity (about 5 minutes)
1.      The teacher stops the activity.
2.      The teacher asks the student to submit the worksheet on the table.
3.      The teacher reviews what have they learned.
4.      The teacher asks the student what the most interesting activity is.
5.      The teacher closes the class.
