Much and Many
Many is used with countable nouns (plural nouns) -> apples, people, etc
e.g. There are many apples on the refrigerator
How Many is used to ask about countable nouns.
e.g. How many apples do you want to eat?
Much is used with uncountable noun -> water, money, sugar, rice, etc.
e.g. There isn’t much rice left.
How much is used to ask about uncountable nouns.
e.g. How much money do you have?
                   How much water do you drink?

            Pre-Activity (7’)
·           Teacher greets the students and asks students’ feeling.
·           Teacher checks students’ attendance.
·           Teacher and students review the previous material about countable and uncountable things in the market.
·           Teacher checks students’ understanding by asking them some questions to differ countable and uncountable things.




Whilst (45’)
·            Teacher shows a picture of 3D refrigerator that has been patched on the whiteboard.
·            Teacher calls one of the students to open the refrigerator and showing the things on the refrigerator.
·            Teacher asks what the students see on the refrigerator.
·            Teacher asks the students to mention the things on the refrigerator.
·            Teacher asks some questions to the students about the amount of the things that the students have seen on the refrigerator using “how much and how many”.
·            Teacher tells the amount of the things they seen on the refrigerator using much and many: e.g. there are many vegetables on the refrigerator and there is much water there.
·            Teacher and students categorize those things into countable and uncountable.
·            Teacher tells the use of much and many by giving some sentences using the things have categorized before.
·            Teacher asks several students to make a sentence as what the teacher did before.
·            Teacher tells the students that today they are going to make fried rice with meatball and chicken, but they should buy some materials that is needed in the market.
·            Teacher gives a recipe of fried rice with meatball and chicken to the students.
·            Teacher asks some questions to check the amount of the things they needed based on the recipe.
·            Teacher and students check the materials for making fried rice on the refrigerator whether they should buy or not.
·           Teacher distributes a blank shopping list to the students.
